Celebrating a wonderful harvest

We've had an amazing harvest with healthy and balanced fruit coming in under an incredibly blue sky - thank you Mother Nature!

Now the vineyard has gone quiet, time for the vines to take a rest, recover and dream of the next vintage.

Divine smells filled the winery during fermentation. It was a joy to taste the new wines daily, ensuring the yeasts were happily converting sugar into alcohol and keeping them from producing off-flavours or "stressed aromas".

Once natural sugar and acidity were in harmony, we stopped the ferments - a scary moment, but trusting our instinct and Trudy's many years of experience.

The next steps will be filtering and stabilising the young wines, ready for bottling in July - watch this space!
