Chardonnay 2024

Bright, classy and immensely satisfying. The eight months in barrel have only enhanced the fruity punch of pineapple, peach, and grapefruit all balanced to a fine richness that lasts on the palate.

Simply add a succulent roast chicken with all the trimmings for a relaxing night in.

92/100 Cameron Douglas MS, camdouglasms.com

Bright, youthful and varietal bouquet with a citrus, grapefruit then apple core intensity followed by pear and vanilla, a wet pebble mineral quality and floral highlight. On the palate a crisp texture touches first then a rush of blossoms and citrus pith, apple and grapefruit, a gentle vanilla spice and mineral floral finish.
Well made, taut and dry with a lengthy finish. A wine for the cellar with best drinking from 2028 through 2034.

4 Stars Michael Cooper, michaelcooperwines.com

Estate-grown, the bright lemon/green 2024 vintage was hand-harvested and matured in American (62 per cent) and French (38 per cent) oak puncheons (12 per cent new). Offering very easy drinking, it is fragrant and mouthfilling, with peachy, mealy, gently biscuity flavours, showing considerable complexity, and a creamy-textured, dry, smooth finish. Generous, savoury and harmonious, it's a drink now or cellaring proposition.

Vegan friendly

To make this wine, we haven't used classic fining agents such as fish, milk, or egg extracts and only minimal additives.

This means our Chardonnay is very natural and vegan friendly.

The season

We enjoyed a near-perfect spring, with ample sunshine and just the right amount of rain to keep the vines thriving.

Despite a drought in February and March, our old, deep-rooted vines managed to access sufficient water to ripen a beautiful crop.

Harvest 2024 proved to be one of our finest vintages to date. Free from disease or weather challenges, the grapes were hand-picked in excellent health and rich concentration by our dedicated, small team of regulars.
Big smiles all around!
