Nelson's intense colours and vibrancy have inspired our Shangri-La art series, with Michelle Bellamy's painting "Spring at Blackenbrook's" adorning the Sauvignon Blanc label.
Michelle Bellamy is a contemporary landscape artist. The purity and brightness of her palette capture the clarity of New Zealand’s light with stunning colour and detail. Through precision brushwork and careful layering, acrylic paint serves to render extraordinary the iconic and much loved beauty of the Nelson region.

Viticulture
• 100% fruit from our Home block
• Moutere clay soil with a layer of sandy loam
• Clone: Sauvignon Blanc MS
• Extensive manual shoot thinning, leaf plucking and crop reduction
• Hand-picked in pristine condition on 23 March 2020 with 22.5 Brix
Winemaking
• Extremely gentle winemaking: Gentle press cycle, gravity-fed from press area to main winery, cool fermentation, extended lees contact, minimal pumping, no fining pre-bottling
• Oak-ageing for 3% of the wine to add layers of complexity
• 1.9g/ltr natural residual sugar
• Bottled on 11 July 2020 in light-weight bottles to reduce our carbon footprint
• 13.5% alcohol
