After ageing for twelve months in French oak barrels, this is a soft and charming Pinot Noir with seductive scents of wild black cherries and spice, a silken texture and a harmonious, lasting finish.
The wine is built for ageing and we recommend to enjoy it between now and 2011.
Just under $30 but it tastes like a $50 Pinot. Well known for their gorgeous aromatic wines, Daniel and Ursula Schwarzenbach have fashioned this impressive Pinot Noir from their home vineyard in Moutere.AWC Vienna
It's luxurious on the nose displaying red/black cherry, spice, game and cedary oak characters. The palate is concentrated and dense with silky texture and plenty of fine, polished tannins. The wine is engaging and complex with potential to develop greater richness.

Wines from this producer just get better and better. This Reserve wine from a great vintage oozes class. Complex black cherry and spice aromas entice you, while savoury cherry and toasty oak complete the seduction. This is one for serious pinot drinkers. (16 June 09)
